On Oct. 6, Ketchum presented its second “Respect the Internet” event, a series of panels in which experts and community leaders from the marketing world discuss the role that companies play in shaping online culture and if there's a middle ground between what marketers want to offer and what Web users actually want.

London, Dec. 2, 2011 - Ketchum Pleon, the PRWeek International Consultancy of the Year and the European brand of Ketchum, announced today that David Vindel will join as Managing Director of European Technology in the first quarter of 2012 to head London’s Technology Practice. In addition, he will provide technology clients across Europe with senior sector counsel, helping companies translate their business objectives into tangible public relations and marketing results.
Vindel has 16 years experience in corporate, financial and B-to-B technology PR, drawn from a broad portfolio of blue-chip clients, including Autonomy, Symantec, McAfee, Vodafone and Adobe, among others. He joins Ketchum Pleon from Red Consultancy, where he was Managing Director of Technology and a board member. Previously, he was at Band & Brown Communications.
“David has an impressive track record of building business and creating leading PR tech teams. He will provide our existing technology clients with exceptional counsel and thought leadership in the U.K. and across our international network,” said Avril Lee, Partner and CEO, Ketchum Pleon London. “He will be a great complement to our fantastic teams in brand, corporate, public affairs, healthcare and social media and analytics. We’re excited to have him.”
Vindel will have a dual reporting role, to Lee and Esty Pujadas, a Ketchum Partner and Director of the Global Technology Practice.
Pujadas added: “Given that technology cuts across every aspect of our world today, and with most all clients having a technology component to their product or service, it’s an exciting time to have David joining our network. He brings gravitas and a leadership style that will make him a great fit here at Ketchum.”
Ketchum’s EMEA technology portfolio includes such admired brands as IBM, Nokia Siemens Network and Google.
